The Silent Mentor Programme Universiti Malaya (SMP UM) Short Course in Clinical An atomy for Medical Students (November 2025), in collaboration with the Malaysian Anatomical Association, was successfully completed on the 8 November 2025. Five trainers from the MAA, together with five trainers from the SMP, guided the one-day workshop and demonstrated key anatomical structures while highlighting their clinical relevance to participating medical students.

Every year on October 15, the global anatomy community commemorates World Anatomy Day (WAD) to honour Andreas Vesalius (1514–1564) — the pioneer often regarded as the founder of modern human anatomy. This celebration not only pays tribute to Vesalius’s enduring scientific legacy but also recognises the pivotal role of anatomy as the foundation of medical education worldwide.

In Malaysia, this year’s celebration brought together universities nationwide in a spirit of learning, creativity, and community engagement.

This year, we celebrate under the theme “Global Perspectives of Anatomy.” May this day remind us of the shared passion that unites anatomists worldwide in advancing knowledge, education, and discovery. 🌍
 

The AI for Writing Journal Article Workshop, held on 14th December 2024, successfully equipped participants, consisting of lecturers and postgraduate students with the knowledge and tools to enhance their scholarly writing through artificial intelligence. This interactive session provided valuable insights into how AI can enhance academic productivity and creativity.
